v. 2016/5/11

D.
Use fixed material (Al) for metal wires and fixed polymer (PEN) for the
substrate.
Do not modify the refractive index of material (ns, na, and nl).
Do not modify the second (Temporary) and third (Michal material data) sheet in
the file.
E.
Change the three parameters (
a, h, and ) to obtain the property chart for your
own design.
After entering a number, press ENTER key and the property chart updates itself.
For example, the chart looks like the following one if you input three parameters
in C.:

The simulated TE/TM/ER of the WGP.
F.
Extinction ratio (
ER) is the common evaluation to include both TE and TM
performances.
ER is defined as
T
10log T
in decibel (dB), where T
TM and TTE is the transmittance in TM and TE mode,
respectively.
The larger
ER value, the more significant (better) difference between TM- and
TE-mode.
The
ER automatically appear on the TE/TM chart.
G.
Obtain the highest T
TM, the lowest TTE, and thus the largest ER, in the 400-700
nm.
