本研究團隊於2013年2月於清華大學材料系成立，前身是工研院之量子點材料研究團隊，由國家奈米型研究計畫支持，成立於2001年。本實驗室的核心價值與目標，為開發量子點、綠色循環與環境相容材料與應用技術，並培養專業量子點材料人才，期能協助國內產業轉型 、提升技術能力及社經價值。
　

The quantum dot research group was first established by Prof Chen and his assistant Miss Huang under a USD$ 30,000 research grant acquired from the National Nanotechnology Program in Taiwan in 2001 in Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) of Taiwan. In 2013, Prof Chen moved to Department of Materials Science & Engineering in National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan and re-organized the group. The core values of the group are shown as the image below. We hope that students & members will be well trained and play a key role in the industry and the society.
