Assistant Professor Gi-Kuen Jacob Li 李紀寬 holds a J.S.D. and an LL.M. from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. At Berkeley Law, he was an associate editor of Berkeley Technology Law Journal (BTLJ), and a member of Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic. Before he started his academic career, he was a lead consultant at a legal analytics startup company in the Silicon Valley, who managed its international business and services and directed the legal research team. Before he joined Institute of Law for Science and Technology, National Tsing Hua University, he taught at the Graduate Institute of Intellectual Property and Communication Technology Law, Shih Hsin University.

Research Interests

Gi-Kuen's research interests include intellectual property law, law and technology, and empirical research. He is a recipient of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Young Scholars Fellowship Program, 2019, focusing research on "Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights: An Empirical Assessment on Rights and Limitations."
