Octopus Salad

Cook the octopus in boiling salted water about 5 minutes, let cool, slice.

Add onion sliced thin, some sliced fresh garlic, salt and pepper to taste, olive oil.  You are welcome to experiment with adding Mediterranean herbs for different effect.  Refrigerate.

 

Asian Style

Cook the octopus in boiling salted water about 5 minutes, let cool, slice.  Add sliced onion (white and/or green) sliced thin, salt and pepper, and light sesame oil.  You may also add white sesame seeds, red pepper flakes (or fresh finely chopped), and/or even softened seaweed/kelp.

 

If you are fortunate to have Hawaiian poke seasoning, use onions, poke seasoning, seaweed, and sesame oil.
