Banana Cake


½ cup butter

1 ¼ cups sugar

2 eggs

3 mashed bananas

1 ½ cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

teaspoon salt

½ cup ground walnuts

 

With electric mixer, mix butter and sugar, add in eggs.  Sift dry ingredients together and add.  Add mashed bananas last (use older bananas that are starting to turn brown, and mash them with a fork).  Bake about one hour at 170C.


Frosting for Banana Cake


½ cup butter

1 cup powdered sugar

(add a little milk of too dry, more sugar if too wet)

 

Mix with electric mixer and spread on cake.  Sprinkle with ground walnuts.
