Mocha Balls


 

1 cup butter

½ cup sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 teaspoons coffee powder

¼ cup cocoa (bitter, not sweet)

1 ¾ cups flour

½ teaspoon salt

2 cups chopped pecans

 

Mix butter and sugar with electric mixer.  Add vanilla, coffee powder, and cocoa with mixer.  Then add the rest of the ingredients and mix with a spoon.  Roll into balls with the hands (about the size of a ping pong ball).  Bake on greased baking sheet at low temperature (about 155C) for about 15 minutes, until they become firm.  Remove from oven to cool.  Roll in powdered sugar when cooled.
