Scientific Community Participation and Building

Yuan-Chi Tseng actively engages with HCI, CSCW, UX, Medical & Design research and communities. He is currently the Director of the Taiwan Association of Computer-Human Interaction/ ACM SIGCHI Taipei Chapter. He was also the supervisor of the Medical Design Association at Taiwan, MDA. Futhermore, he was the Research Consultant and is currently a Contract Researcher of the Taiwan Design Research Institute. In addition, he is highly engaged in serving as reviewer/jury for several Human-Computer Interaction related international conferences, such as ACM's CHI, CSCW, and SIGGRAPH, and Chinese CHI, HCI International, and DeSForM, and scholarly journals, such as International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Cognitive Science, Journal of Vision, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, ACM Transactions on Interactive Intelligent Systems (TiiS), etc.

He served as the convener (from Jan 2019 to Dec 2022) of the Foresight and Innovative Technology Subprogram of the Industrial Engineering and Management Program at the Ministry of Science and Technology/National Science and Technology Council to promote interdisciplinarity within the IEM program and among all MOST/NSTC programs.
