Our research includes the following two areas:

Measurement of characteristics of nano-materials and nano electronicmechanical systems

To measure optical, electrical, magnetic, thermal, and mechanical properties of nano-materials, our research is mainly focused on:

※ Development of mechanical measurement for nano-structures
※ Design of spintronic devices and MRAM
※ Thermal properties of nano-devices
※ Measurement and applications of optoelectronic devices
※ Various applications of CMOS device

Cooperations with Electronics and Optoelctronics Research Laboratories of ITRI, TSMC, faculties of NTHU, NTU, and NCUE are in progress.

Bio-medical systems

Mechanical properties of biomolecules, such as DNA, RNA, proteins, and their complexes.

Mechanical properties of cell membranes.

Development of bio-chips.

Cooperations with National Health Research Institutes, Biomedical Engineering Research Laboratory of ITRI, department of Life Science in NTHU and NTU are in progress.
