Bio

Chung-Chi Chen is currently a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, AIST, Japan. His research focuses on financial opinion mining and financial document understanding/generation. He is the organizer of FinNLP workshop series in IJCAI (2019-present), EMNLP (2022), and IJCNLP-AACL (2023), FinWeb workshop serise in TheWebConf (WWW) (2019-present), and FinNum/FinArg shared task series in NTCIR (2018-present). He is the presenter of the AACL-2020 ``NLP in FinTech Applications'' tutorial and the presenter of the EMNLP-2021 ``Financial Opinion Mining'' tutorial. He served as PC members in many representative conferences. In academic competitions, he fortunately won the Merit Award in both TAAI Thesis Award and ACLCLP Thesis Award, and got Honorable Mention in the 14th TSC Thesis Award. He also got the Technology Innovation Award presented by College of EECS, NTU. In industry's conpetitions, he won the 1st prize in both the Jih Sun FinTech Hackathon (2019) and the Standard Chartered FinTech competition (2018), and the 2nd prize in both the Jih Sun FinTech Hackathon (2018) and the E.SUN FHC FinTech Hackathon (2017).
