Welcome to Renewable Energy and Bioenergy Lab

Our lab focuses on the development of alternative energy generated from renewable sources and biomass. The topics include rapid and high-throughput methods based on microfluidic or optical platforms for process optimization, usage of renewable or biological resources, generation of green energy including electricity, hydrogen, and biodiesel. Our lab is lead by Prof. Hsiang-Yu Angie Wang, who is dedicated to the development of renewable energy. We currently have 2 Ph. D. students, 6 master students, and 2 undergraduate students in the lab. Click to see detailed information of all members.
Microfluidics
Our research topics in microfluidics focus on the controlling of fluid behavior. For example, the two-phase flow inside a microfluidic device can be co-flow (and laminar), turbulent (mixing), or forming uniform droplet. Read more...
